Job Description

Job Title: Interventional Radiology Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Pending license accepted at manager's discretion Certifications: BLS, ARRT Must-Have: Work experience with Outpatient, Inpatient, and Adult ICU required. Experience with PACS, C-Arm, Contrast, and Biopsies required. Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephogram, peripherals, biopsies, drainages, vascular studies, venous access, neuro studies, GU, Abdomen and Pelvis, and upper/lower extremities required. Must be able to use and deploy pushable/detachable coils. Must be able to use micro catheters and micro wires. Must be able to use Snare Kits. Must be able to use injector systems. Epic experience is required. Description: Must be available to work 4 out of 8 major holidays: Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, December 26, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day. Position/Specialty: IR Tech - ASAP Start. Call rotation is required, assignments include an average of 10 days per month, including weekends. First-timers accepted. Local candidates are not accepted. Requests for time off must be submitted with the application; additional requests after confirmation are at the manager's discretion. Guaranteed hours are 36 hours per week. Facility may have low census/cancel 36 hours per contract. Experience in accessing/managing ports, angioplasty, carotid angiography, catheter/drain exchange, central venous access, chest tube placement, and other interventional procedures is required. Candidates should be proficient in handling hybrid OR, mesenteric angiogram, percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram, nephogram, and more. Preferred experience includes hemodynamic monitoring. All travelers must complete relevant health and safety requirements prior to starting. Clinicians cannot work past one year as travelers; a six-month break is necessary to return as a traveler. Modules completed before the start are recorded on transcripts.
