Responsibilities Work in a high-acuity Cardiovascular ICU within a large, short-term acute care hospital Patient ratio averages 1:2 for both days and nights Must be proficient with swan-ganz monitoring Uses Epic EMR system Night shifts available with options of 3x12 or 4x12 hours as preferred Every other weekend required Floating within scope to meet facility needs is expected No on-call responsibilities Block scheduling is not accommodated Responsibilities include providing advanced cardiac critical care to complex patients Must complete hospital-assigned modules pre-start and annually First-time travelers considered with appropriate cardiothoracic or critical care ICU experience Up to 7 days of requested time off may be approved automatically; anything greater requires approval Teamwork in a Level I trauma, academic medical center environment Participation in emergency response or natural disaster activities may be required Requirements Active CT or compact RN license or eligibility (pending license accepted with timely application) Three years of cardiac ICU nursing experience required Minimum one year of experience working in a Level I trauma center Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS Must have experience in critical care and swan-ganz monitoring Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID vaccination and booster required (exemptions considered for religious/medical reasons) Applicants must reside more than 75 miles from the facility Return travelers must have been gone for at least two years Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-636639.
