Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,116 per week in Chicago, IL

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of recent acute care experience in ICU License: Current state nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience - Charting system experience Description: Position requires a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. Shift is 3x12s, working from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. No block scheduling is available. Weekend requirement is every other weekend, totaling 2 weekends per month. Requests for time off (RTO) are limited to 5 days maximum, with no more than 2 consecutive days off. No time off is allowed on holidays or the day before or after a holiday. Floating is mandatory based on facility needs. ICU RNs may float between various ICU units including specialized units. If staffing needs arise, RNs may also float to medical-surgical units. The first week will consist of orientation and precepting shifts during the day. Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations is required. Medical or religious exemptions for flu vaccinations are accepted. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in advanced nursing skills. RNs will be responsible for managing critical patient care, including ventilator management and arterial line care. Charting will be done using a specific electronic health record system. Clinical expertise in the management of patients with multi-system organ dysfunction is essential. Candidates must be adaptable to a team-based model in varied clinical settings. RNs should be prepared to complete all compliance items prior to the start of the assignment.
