TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Prescott Valley, Arizona, 86314! Pay Information $2,148 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights, Every Other Weekend Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract. Description: Clinicians are to provide care for both surgical and medical telemetry patients. Common surgical diagnoses include total hip and knee replacement, small bowel resection, hysterectomy, and exploratory laparoscopy. Medical diagnoses include MRSA, C-diff infections, suicide attempts, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, pneumonia, and COVID. Telemetry experience is necessary as RNs must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips. Nursing staff may be asked to precept nursing students. The unit consists of three 10-bed units and has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6. For this position, there are no drip titration responsibilities. Stable CPAP or BiPAP patients can be cared for on the unit. There are Remote Monitor Technicians available, but RNs must be equipped to read telemetry strips. Shifts are 12 hours long, with shifts starting at 0700/1900 and 1930/0730. Staff is expected to work every other weekend and participate in a holiday rotation. If low census occurs, staff will rotate standby shifts. Floating to a Multi-Care Unit and a Pediatric unit for adult MST care is required, as well as floating to other MedSurg Tele units. Scrub colors are flexible, with the exception of camouflage. Candidates must attend hospital orientation and unit orientation based on experience. The charting system utilized is Cerner.
