Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $2,070 per week in Chandler, AZ

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the past 6 months License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Strong cardiac telemetry background Description: This is a telemetry position requiring specific skills. Minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry experience is required. Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving the offer. There is a PASS/FAIL simulation lab on the first day of orientation. Candidates must be able to decrease cardiac drips per physician's orders and parameters. Nurses will primarily care for telemetry patients. Common diagnoses include ED holds waiting for placement on a unit. Nurses should be able to read and interpret cardiac strips as monitor tech support is not available. Charge nurse responsibilities may include overseeing the ED. Nurses will float as needed to medical/surgical and overflow units. The schedule requires working 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week rotation. Nurses must work 2 of 4 major holidays. No call or standby requirements are present for this position. Please note that team members may assist with ED patients, including vitals and medication administration.
