Job Description Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: This role combines hands-on technical work with the creation and maintenance of clear, concise technical documentation for manufacturing operations, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and qualification plans. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Create and maintain accurate and detailed technical documents including: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Work Instructions Process Documentation Acceptance and Qualification Test Plans and Procedures Maintenance Manuals Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) Translate complex technical information into user-friendly content for a range of audiences including production staff, maintenance teams, and quality assurance. Ensure all documentation complies with company standards, industry regulations, and ISO or other quality standards. Assist engineers in developing, improving, and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and equipment. Conduct tests, collect and analyze production data, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Performs engineering and R&D tasks which can involve the construction of product and production related items. Support the installation, calibration, and maintenance of production tools and systems. Work in a team environment. All other assigned duties. Education, Experience, and Training: Associate’s degree in engineering with more than 3 years of applicable experience. All applicants will be reviewed. Preference will be with those having >3 years of technical writing and technical experience within a manufacturing site. Knowledge Skills & Abilities : Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical writing tools (e.g. Adobe Acrobat, Visio, SolidWorks or similar). Knowledge about Network Analyzers, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and scientific method a plus. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and document control platforms is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Physical Requirements & Working Environment: Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Work in an office environment. Minimal lifting requirements.
