Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and implement strategies to optimize stock to prevent shortages or excess. Staff Supervision: Lead, schedule, and train warehouse staff, ensuring they are proficient in procedures and safety protocols. Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and standards (such as OSHA) to maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Space and Resource Optimization: Manage warehouse layout and efficiently utilize space and resources to maximize productivity. Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the transport of products, liaising with suppliers, transport companies, and customers for timely delivery. Equipment and Maintenance: Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and other machinery, ensuring they are in good working order.
