Growing and transforming food international company Long term career opportunity About Our Client Growing multinational food company with a subsidiary and a factory in Spain Job Description Design and implement the retail commercial strategy for Iberia (Spain & Portugal). Develop annual business plans for the key retail customers by understanding the value drivers of the business and identifying profitable commercial opportunities to grow revenue, market share and profit. Stablish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotes for regions & territories, projecting sales volumes and profit for existing & new products. Developing and maintaining an excellent understanding of the key customers/target audience to ensure that their needs are being met and their business is retained. Ensure that all elements of pricing, terms and promotions are properly negotiated and are aligned with business guidelines. Working closely with the Retail national sales team to manage key customers (existing and new), thereby improving revenue and profitability. Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current and supply and demand. Manage product mix to maximize margin. Championing and leading each new product from innovation through to successful implementation across each channel, to enable it to become a core part of the business. Develop the national sales team and structure in order to deliver sales and channel effectiveness. Manage the retail sales team by counseling, planning, monitoring and appraising job results. Ensuring that regular reviews are carried out with customers, to ensure that their needs are being met and that excellent customer service is achieved and, developing future improvements/services for the customers. Maintaining an awareness of external factors (including competitors, bakery, government business initiatives, legislation…) which affect the business. Ensuring that all commercial activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume and efficiency targets (KPI) in line with business objectives. Visiting and negotiating with large customers and management of them. Direct multi-level customer contact across all relevant functions. Working with HR department, participate in interviews and succession plans to consolidate the national commercial team. The Successful Applicant Bachelor degree Availability to travel Fluent English for a daily use Negotiation skills At least 10 years in senior level sales roles Experience working in a senior commercial director role, ideally within a fast-paced, fast-changing food environment. Strategic commercial experience, a strong commercial ability, and exceptional negotiation skills. Experience of dealing with and engaged at a strategic and senior leader level with Retail and Foods Services customers. Food industry experience Experience managing commercial teams Experience working in national markets and negotiation with them.
