Job Description

Position OverviewThis Student Research Assistant role supports a project examining the role nonprofit organizations play in strengthening community resilience. The research focuses on how nonprofit operations, strategies, capacities, and institutional connections influence resilience outcomes. In this position, the student will primarily assist with identifying, gathering, and verifying contact information for nonprofit representatives who will be invited to participate in surveys as part of the data collection process. Job Description*100%- Data Collection* * Conduct web-based searches to identify the names, email addresses, and mailing addresses of representatives from designated nonprofit organizations. * Accurately update and maintain the spreadsheet with verified contact information. Required Qualifications * Experience with Microsoft Excel, including data entry, sorting, and filtering, as indicated in application materials. * Current Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) certification or willingness to complete the training upon hire, as indicated in application materials. Preferred Qualifications Interest in social science research, nonprofit organizations, resiliency, or related topics, as indicated in application materials.Major in Law and Society, Public Administration, or a closely related field, as indicated in application materials.Position RequirementsDuring the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).Employment Conditions(1) Student employees are *not* eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR. (2) This is an hourly/non-exempt position.
