Job Details Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Information Technology Role Overview As a System Integration Application Engineer, you will play a vital role in creating technical solutions that fulfil the needs of our customers. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide the best technical and cost‑effective solutions, lead the preparation of technical proposals, and act as the main technical interface between customer and Baker Hughes during the Inquiry‑to‑Order (ITO) phase. Responsibilities Prepare, manage and negotiate Baker Hughes technical proposals, ensuring budget accuracy for the proposed solution. Define the project technical strategy and influence customers toward Baker Hughes solutions while accounting for competitors’ strengths and weaknesses. Prepare the most attractive technical proposal at first submission, selecting rotating equipment and auxiliary systems, using ITO tools and policies, and implementing innovative technology where appropriate. Apply product and quality policies, addressing and mitigating any risks as per Baker Hughes procedures. Lead technical negotiations, coordinate with supporting functions, and attend meetings/presentations with the customer. Hand over the technical contract to the execution team in case of award. Qualifications Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent work experience and experience in Engineering, Application Engineering, Technical Sales, Product Management, Customer Service or an equivalent technical/commercial role. Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact, coordinating several projects simultaneously. Fluency in English (written and spoken) with strong communication and presentation skills. Willingness to work on stretched deadlines with flexible time management and available for short‑notice travel.
