Position Summary The Controller will serve as a strategic financial leader, responsible for managing the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, and budgeting processes. Generous benefits Key Responsibilities Lead Financial Operations: Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Own the Budget Process: Partner with leadership and program teams to develop, monitor, and manage annual and multi-year budgets. Grant Management: Ensure compliance and reporting accuracy for federal, state, and private grants; maintain strong relationships with program and development staff to align funding with organizational priorities. Reporting & Analysis: Deliver clear, actionable financial insights to support decision-making at all levels of the organization. Systems & Process Improvement: Lead financial system implementations and drive automation and efficiency initiatives across finance and operations. Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire a growing finance team; foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and collaboration. Compliance & Controls: Maintain sound internal controls, ensure GAAP compliance, and support annual audits. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred. 10 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, including leadership roles. Demonstrated success managing budgets, grants, and audit processes within a nonprofit environment. Strong systems orientation - experience implementing or optimizing ERP/accounting systems. Proven ability to design and improve processes that scale with organizational growth. Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a collaborative, mission-driven approach. Salary: $150-175K depending on experience INOCT2025 LI-KS5
