Our client in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Senior Manager to join their growing practice. Opportunity to run the accounting department(5 people) What You'll Do as a Senior Manager: Serve as the lead advisor and accounting expert for a portfolio of GovCon clients. Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, GL, and month-end close. Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analyses. Develop budgets, forecasts, indirect rate models, and cash flow projections. Guide and mentor junior staff, ensuring quality and consistency across deliverables. Support year-end reporting, 1099s, audits, and DCAA compliance. Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls. Communicate directly with client executives, providing strategic insights and updates. What We're Looking For in a Senior Manager: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required 8-10 years of accounting experience in govt contracting; public accounting experience a plus! Management experience leading and developing team members Unanet software experience required Strong grasp of GAAP, FAR, and cost accounting standards.
