Job Title: Inpatient Pharmacist Profession: Pharmacy Specialty: Pharmacist Inpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 hours (20:00 - 06:30) Experience: 2 years License: State licensed Certifications: BLS, Chemo/Hazardous Drug, IV Certification, RPh Must-Have: - Previous inpatient or acute care experience - Experience with anticoagulants, cardiac dosing, clinical dosing, pediatric dosing, and high-risk medications Description: The Inpatient Pharmacist will work nights on a 7 on, 7 off schedule. The shift is from 20:00 to 06:30. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. First-time travelers are accepted, but previous experience is preferred. The role involves managing medication systems and providing pharmaceutical care to various age groups, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Required skills include therapeutic medication monitoring, warfarin dosing, antibiotics management, and chemotherapy preparation. Experience with EPIC documentation is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with inpatient settings and have a solid foundation in pharmacokinetic dosing and the management of high-alert medications. Additional responsibilities may include consultations on medication efficacy and safety, as well as working closely with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Candidates will float within the hospital based on census needs. Previous permanent staff are not eligible for this position. One reference within the last two years is required for submission.
