Senior Environment Artist

Game Path is working with a small independent console game development studio based in the heart of Bordeaux’s vibrant tech and creative scene. We are actively seeking a Senior Environment Artist to join their growing team on a newly developed and original Platformer title. The role is permanent and Hybrid (3 days a week on site) – All applicants must be prepared to work on this basis and situated within a commutable distance to Bordeaux. What you’ll do: Create high-quality 3D assets for immersive, stylised environments, guided by the project’s artistic vision. Collaborate with art, design, and tech teams to ensure engaging, performant worlds. Balance artistic goals with technical, time, and production constraints. Drive the creative process from blockouts to final polish, delivering consistent high quality. What we’re looking for: 4 years of experience in a similar role within the gaming industry. Solid understanding of modelling and sculpting software (ZBrush, 3ds Max, Substance tools, or equivalent). Proficiency with Unreal Engine, or strong 3D skills in a similar pipeline. Strong artistic sensibility and ability to adapt to a stylised art direction. Team-oriented mindset and effective communication skills. Fluency in English. Bonus points for: Experience with stylised worlds. Additional skills and experience working in animation or visual effects. What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package.
