Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented, and organized Accountant responsible for maintaining accurate financial and accounting records, handling day-to-day accounting tasks, managing journal entries, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role will play a key part in driving data-driven decision-making across the business by providing insights into financial performance, accounting, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency in financial software. Responsibilities Record day-to-day financial transactions (e.g., purchases, receipts, sales, payments) Perform reconciliations of accounts Prepare invoices and track accounts receivable/payable Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statements. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and annual closing processes. Liaises with stakeholders to prepare tax returns and ensure timely submission of tax-related documents; support audits by providing necessary documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control. Maintain and improve financial databases and reporting systems Supports the Financial Director in monitoring compliance by maintaining and ensuring accounting and company procedures Qualifications BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance and/or related field Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a must A minimum of 2-5 years of Agency and/or other service-firm or professional services related accounting/finance experience Lives at Milan Paprika software experience is a big plus
