Travel Ultrasound Tech - $2,124 per week in Manchester, NH

Job Title: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Profession: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: NH MIRT Licensure Certifications: BLS, RDMS Must-Have: Candidates must have knowledge of anatomy and pathology with the ability to recognize normal from abnormal findings. Basic scanning skills with a good understanding of sonographic physics and techniques are required. Clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting with exposure to general, vascular, and OB-GYN sonography is necessary. Candidates should have a good track record with past employers and positive references. Description: The unit has 4 ultrasound rooms. There are 14 staff members on the team. Day shift consists of 4 sonographers plus a supervisor. Second shift is staffed with 1 sonographer after 7:30 PM. Night shift includes 1 sonographer. The patient ratio is 8-10 in an 8-hour shift. Equipment includes Siemens Acuson S200 and GE Logiq E10. The electronic medical record system is Allscripts, and the PACS is InteleRad. The patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric. Typical procedures performed include thoracentesis, paracentesis, fine needle aspirations, and biopsies. Breast needle placements, carotid ultrasound, and D&Cs are also done in the operating room. Ideal candidates are hard-working, motivated self-starters who are fast learners. Compassionate patient care, teamwork, and the ability to work independently are essential qualities. Candidates should be willing to teach and adhere to department policies. Attendance and PTO request policies must be followed, and exam protocols need to be adhered to. Weekends are covered by weekend staff. There is no on-call requirement, but a call tree is implemented for critical staffing needs.
