Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant - hybrid in Anne Arundel County, MD About the Company and Staff Accountant Role: Our repeat client is a well known manufacturing company, operating for over 70 years in Anne Arundel County Due to growth, they are looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join their medium sized accounting team on a contractual basis Potential for full time depending on performance, fit, and needs of the business Position is fully on site in Severn, MD . Schedule: Typically 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm M-F. Candidates can work 32-40 hours per week. Ability to do four 10 hour days if desired Reports to the Controller (placed by CFS!) Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 Job Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant: Gather information and update schedules in order to close the fiscal year Perform GL account analysis and reconciliations Prepare and review journal entries and accruals Prepare financial statements Ad hoc tasks, directly assisting the Controller Qualifications for the Staff Accountant: 3 years' accounting experience required Strong knowledge of GAAP Proficient Excel skill required (experience creating pivot tables a plus but not required) Experience using Sage 300 a huge plus
