Installation Manager

Job Description Job Description Position Overview The Install Foreman is responsible for leading installation crews in the field for all sign, awning, canopy, and architectural metal installations. This role oversees day-to-day site activities, ensures all installs meet company quality standards, coordinates with project managers and fabricators, and maintains safety compliance. The Install Foreman must be highly organized, able to manage multiple active job sites, and experienced in the electrical sign industry, commercial construction, or Division 10 specialties. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Crew Management - Lead installation crews on all sign, canopy, awning, and metal installation projects. - Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure safe and efficient work. - Train new installers on proper installation techniques and safety protocols. - Serve as the main on-site representative for clients, GCs, inspectors, and owners. Installation Execution - Oversee installation of electric signs, awnings, canopies, and architectural metals. - Ensure installations follow engineered drawings, UL/electrical codes, permitting, and OSHA requirements. - Perform hands-on installation support when necessary. Safety & Compliance - Enforce safety protocols and OSHA guidelines. - Conduct daily jobsite safety checks and toolbox talks. - Ensure proper and safe operation of equipment. Coordination & Communication - Communicate daily with project managers. - Coordinate with fabrication teams. - Maintain jobsite documentation (photos, notes, reports). - Communicate with clients regarding scheduling and project updates. Quality Control - Review drawings and dimensions before site arrival. - Verify installation quality meets company standards. - Identify and resolve issues proactively. Equipment & Vehicle Management - Oversee operation of bucket trucks, cranes, lifts, forklifts, and trailers. - Ensure vehicles are clean, stocked, and maintained. - Track and report tools, equipment, and material needs. Qualifications & Experience - 3 years sign/canopy/awning or construction installation experience. - 1 year foreman/lead experience preferred. - Strong understanding of electrical signage. - Ability to read blueprints and engineered drawings. - Proficiency with tools, rigging, and heavy equipment. - Strong communication and leadership abilities. - Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred. - Ability to lift 75 lbs and work at heights.
