Apartment Maintenance Technician

Job Description Job Description Full job description We are currently looking to hire an experienced, full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician for our Class A apartment community in Sussex, WI, and throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. The Maintenance Technician will assist in maintaining the physical integrity of the community by providing a quality living environment for our residents at all times. This individual is responsible for responding to resident requests for maintenance service in a courteous and professional manner and following through on the completion of all work requests. This candidate will also assist in the turnover of apartments for move-in and in maintaining our grounds and curb appeal. Responsibilities/Daily tasks include, but are not limited to: Ensuring the physical aspects of the property meet the company’s established standards Diagnosing problems and making repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywalling, exterior structural, and appliance Painting Janitorial duties Landscape Maintenace Preparing apartments for move-in Maintaining leasing centers & recreational facilities Performing all the above and other related duties as assigned in accordance with applicable laws and company policies Qualifications/Requirements: Technical school preferred; High School Diploma or G.E.D required No Maintenance experience necessary Prior apartment maintenance or construction experience preferred Proficient in reading, writing, grammar, and mathematical skills Ability to work well independently, as well as within a team environment Possess basic tools to perform apartment/building maintenance Possess valid driver’s license Must be available for required on-call rotation (above 40-hr work week) Must pass drug screening test Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: Property maintenance: 3 years (Preferred) HVAC: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Sussex, WI 53089 (Required) Work Location: In person Company Description Sawall Development, located in Sussex, WI is a real estate development company that focuses on luxurious apartments/townhomes and condos.
