Financial Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant with 35 years experience, who is comfortable with managing the full finance function, from the general ledger through to financial statement preparation. Youll work closely with operations and site teams, ensuring that financial controls and reporting are strong, timely, and practical. Experience with construction project accounting and BuildSmart will be a strong advantage. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full accounting function , including GL, journals, and reconciliations Prepare and review the trial balance, management accounts, and supporting schedules Maintain accurate cost tracking and project-related accounting Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes Ensure compliance with controls, policies, and statutory timelines Liaise with Auditors and support year-end financial statement preparation Work closely with operational teams to ensure financial accuracy and clarity Job Experience and Skills Required: BCom Accounting or Finance Degree (essential) 35 years accounting experience Construction or project-based environment experience (advantageous) BuildSmart ERP exposure (highly advantageous) Strong understanding of the full finance function , including GL, recons, TB, and FS prep Proficient in Excel with strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail Hands-on, deadline-driven, and confident communicating with non-finance stakeholders Apply now and step into a role where your numbers translate into real-world results.
