EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant Mornings Only 8:30 to 12:30 Long Term Role Coventry In early years, small moments make a big difference. This EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant role involves supporting a 3 year old pupil who is on the pathway for an autism diagnosis. You will work in a mainstream school in Coventry from 8:30 to 12:30 each day, Monday to Friday. This role suits someone who notices details, understands early years development, and can stay calm when the room gets busy. You will help the child take part in sensory play, follow routines, and feel confident in their morning sessions. Responsibilities Provide one to one support from 8:30 to 12:30 each morning. Help the child engage in sensory activities and early learning tasks. Use simple communication and interaction strategies. Offer reassurance during transitions and busy moments. Carry out personal care when required. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO. Contribute to short notes that support ongoing assessments. Requirements Experience supporting autistic children within the last three years. Recent EYFS or nursery experience is essential. Understanding of early years development and sensory needs. Calm, patient, and consistent approach. Ability to form trusting relationships with young children. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
