Design Engineer (Mid-weight) Woking, Surrey | Full-time, Permanent | Competitive Salary We’re seeking a talented Design Engineer to take ownership of projects from concept through to manufacture and delivery. You’ll be designing a range of access platforms and ground support equipment , using your technical expertise and practical mindset to create reliable, manufacturable solutions. What you’ll bring: 3 years’ experience in mechanical/design engineering with proven project delivery. Strong sheet-metal and fabrication design skills, with an understanding of welding, tolerancing, and manufacturability. Ability to design structural assemblies and produce high-quality technical drawings. Desirable skills: Experience in aviation, rail, or ground support equipment (GSE) . Experience using Autodesk Inventor (or similar 3D CAD) Basic FEA understanding for design verification. Familiarity with fabrication standards and site/production support. Interested candidates should provide a CV and project portfolio (3–5 examples) showcasing full design lifecycle involvement — from concept to delivery.
