Job Description
Duties: Ensure that the daily housekeeping and laundry operations run smoothly and that guests are satisfied. Training and motivating of staff Scheduling of staff and ensuring efficient use of departmental resources. Oversee staff on a daily basis Working with hotel guests who have specific housekeeping needs Coordinating housekeeping needs with other hotel department managers Ensure compliance with hygiene and cleanliness standards of the hotel Conduct daily room checks Ensure cleanliness of all public areas. Purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment Managing housekeeping stock levels and storerooms. Requirements: Grade 12 A formal hospitality qualification At least 4 - 5 years experience in a similar position within the hospitality industry Strong Leadership Skills Customer service oriented High Level of responsibility and accountability Strong management, communication and organisational skills Attention to detail
