Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts with multiple start times available: 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, 3:30 PM, 7:30 PM • Every other weekend requirement • Self-scheduling system balanced by manager • Holiday shifts required if there is a need • No call or standby requirements • Possibility to float to Meridian and Boise ER locations (occurs infrequently) • Must have 1-2 years of ED experience and be comfortable with pediatric patients • Must be able to manage ED flow and work in fast-paced environment • Nurse to patient ratio of 1:3-4 • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC • Any color scrubs allowed as long as clean and professional • One shift of unit-specific orientation in the ER • Use EPIC charting system • BSN not required • Treat diverse patient population including pediatrics (20% under 18), migrant workers, and farmers • Common cases include respiratory issues, abdominal pain, strokes, STEMIs, chest pain, walk-in trauma, and outdoor activity injuries • RNs responsible for drawing labs, reading and interpreting telemetry strips, and performing EKGs • Fast room turnover with minimal patient wait times • Client may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment Facility: This healthcare facility operates a Level IV trauma center with STEMI and stroke receiving capabilities, featuring a 24-bed emergency department with 4 low-acuity bays and one dedicated trauma room. The facility maintains excellent patient flow with an average of 110-120 patients treated daily and rarely experiences boarding issues. The department includes specialized behavioral health rooms with safety features, 24/7 security, and comprehensive support staff including ED techs, respiratory therapists, and secretaries around the clock.
