RT Weekend Option

ContinueCARE Hospital at Baptist Health Paducah is a 37-bed Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Hospital specializing in medically complex patients requiring an average length of stay of 25 to 30 days. A typical LTAC patient may require care for: ventilator weaning, complex wounds, infections requiring IV antibiotics, complications from extensive surgery, multi-system failures, TPN, neurological / traumatic injuries, and those not yet able to participate in acute rehabilitation due to medical complexity. Experience working as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care environment required. At ContinueCARE Hospital, we take pride in the care we provide for patients with an average length of stay of 25 days in a variety of specialty programs. Our staff enjoy our small-hospital environment inside of a large acute care hospital. The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the direct and indirect respiratory care of all patients ranging from age 18 years to geriatric. Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager and upon the request of the physician, sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness. Conduct physician prescribed treatments including but not limited to, Hand Held Nebulizer Therapy and various nasal oxygen devices in order to administer prescribed medical vapors and gases, humidity, various oxygen concentrations to the respiratory system of the patient, and chest physical therapy treatments. Qualifications: Must be credentialed by The National Board of Respiratory Care as a CRT or RRT. Must be licensed to practice in Kentucky. BLS Required and ACLS within 90 days of hire. 3 to 5 years of experience working in an acute care environment or, critical care experience preferred. Weekend option Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00 am-6:00 pm with $10.00/hr differential.
