Job Description

Job Title: Sr. UX Designer Duration: 12 months Job Posting ID: GOAPRDJP00000744 Number of positions: 3 Hours: 7.25 hour work day Work will be primarily remote. However, the Front End Designer is expected to attend meetings or work sessions often (i.e. quarterly) in Alberta on reasonable notice from the Province. Work Experience Experience developing UX artifacts, including streamlined scenarios, storyboards, wireframes, flows and interactive prototypes. Experience working within a cross-functional product team in an Agile environment Experience building and maintaining component libraries/design systems. Experience exploring multiple design solutions to a given problem or feature, and communicating those solutions visually through sketches, user flows, wireframes, functional prototypes, and/or high-fidelity designs, as necessary. Experience in production design for multiple digital devices (web, mobile, etc.) or complex enterprise applications. Experience using accessibility standards and principles including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Experience with current methodologies and design thinking, especially in relation to improving service experience. Experience with frontend design applications such as Axure, Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, etc. Experience working on a project comparable in size and complexity to the service innovation, program review, and/or digital transformation projects such as the GoA Experience working in a dedicated public sector central digital office (e.g. UK Government Digital Service; Ontario Digital Service; British Columbia Government Digital Experience, GoA Digital Innovation Office or its successors).
