Software Developer

Job & Company Description: Seeking a Software Developer to join one of the leading teams within tech savvy financial services giant on a 3 months contract basis. The ideal candidate will focus on server-side web application logic, including enterprise web services and APIS, optimizing performance, and ensuring security. The key responsibilities for this role will include: Develop and maintain backend systems using Java 8 and Spring Boot to support enterprise applications. Design, implement, and secure APIs (REST/SOAP) for financial services integration and transactions. Build and optimize enterprise integrations using IBM WPS, Datapower, ACE, FICO Blaze APIs, and Apache Camel. Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications in cloud and container environments (AWS, Azure DevOps, Docker, AKS). Ensure system security and compliance with financial regulations and standards (SSL, encryption, PCI DSS, POPIA). Collaborate in Agile squads, contributing to sprint planning, code reviews, and mentoring junior developers. As you will be required to hit the ground running extensive experience is essential. The requirements: Qualification: BSc Honours in Information Technology or a related field Experience: 7 years experience in a similar role Knowledge of IBM technology stack (Datapower, ACE, IBM Process Server - BPEL). Docker and AKS. Implementation experience of open-source integration frameworks such as apache camel.
