EURECAT Eurecat is the second Research & Technology Organisation in Spain and one of the largest applied research and technology transfer organisations in Southern Europe. Responsibilities Design and implement solutions based on mathematical algorithms and classical ML: supervised and unsupervised models, regression, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction, optimisation, recommendation systems, time‑series, semi‑supervised learning, etc. Design and implement solutions based on Deep Learning techniques such as Recurrent Neural Networks and Autoencoders. Research innovative techniques and methods in artificial intelligence to stay up‑to‑date with new trends. Apply and experiment with state‑of‑the‑art techniques in projects and challenges to be developed. Global impact: collaborate on scientific publications, sharing insights with the wider research community. Requirements Passion for Data Science and ML. Basic studies: Physics, Mathematics, Energy Engineering, Agronomy, Forestry Engineering. Superior studies: MSc or equivalent in ML, AI, Computer Vision, or a related field. Hands‑on experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning, with a track record of applying AI techniques. Proficiency in Python and key libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, scikit‑learn, SciPy). Knowledge of mathematical optimisation and its implementation in Python (Pyomo or PuLP). Valuable knowledge of deep‑learning libraries such as Keras, PyTorch and TensorFlow. Open minded and multidisciplinary; eager to learn new domains. Dynamic communication skills to convey complex ideas and collaborate across diverse backgrounds. Readiness to travel when needed to connect with clients, partners and collaborators worldwide.
