Overview Who we are? We are Scienseed, a communications, marketing, and advertising agency specializing in scientific and technical communications . We are becoming leaders in the field and have been continuously growing since our inception 10 years ago. We work on innovative projects with significant social impact, collaborating closely with major international organizations, foundations, research centers, the pharmaceutical industry, and small tech startups. Currently, our team consists of 24 people, and we reached in 2022 a tipping point: a merger that has greatly strengthened us and opened up even greater growth potential than before. Role Overview We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to take responsibility for the company’s performance and long-term growth. The CEO will oversee financial, legal, and operational management, ensure the achievement of business objectives, and provide clear direction to the organization. During an initial transition period, the CEO will work in close shadowing with the Founder and Creative Director to ensure continuity and a smooth handover of responsibilities. Over time, the CEO will assume full executive authority, while maintaining a collaborative partnership with the Founder to align business strategy with the company’s creative vision. As a data-driven organization, we value rational and evidence-based decision-making. The CEO is expected to embody this approach, combining analytical rigor with strong people leadership — demanding high standards while fostering an environment where talent can thrive. The role also requires a high level of commitment, with the flexibility to step in and take ownership whenever challenges demand it. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Lead the company’s financial, legal, commercial and operational management, ensuring the achievement of business objectives. Develop and implement strategies that guarantee sustainable growth and organizational efficiency. Oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, fostering accountability and collaboration. Manage relationships with stakeholders, partners, and clients with professionalism and integrity. Work closely with the Founder during an initial shadowing period to ensure a smooth transfer of knowledge and responsibilities. Translate the company’s creative vision and insights into structured business strategies. Required Qualifications Proven leadership experience with accountability for financial and operational results. Strong background in strategic planning, financial management, and organizational development. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead high-performing teams. Experience in people management, including talent development and HR-related responsibilities. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. Capacity to thrive in a phased leadership transition Fluency in English and Spanish. Additional languages will be considered an asset. Preferred Qualifications Experience in international, niche, or highly specialized industries. Familiarity with legal, financial, and administrative frameworks relevant to SMEs. Proven ability to build strong collaborative relationships with founders, boards, or creative leadership teams. Requirements and personal skills Strategic and analytical thinking.
