Business Development Director - Life Sciences We are seeking a Business Development Director to acquire new business globally in the Life Sciences portion of our expanded Localization services. This independent contributor will collaborate with Production, Marketing, Operations and senior leadership to create territory, account and opportunity plans, RFPs, SOWs, quotes, and achieve sales targets within the target territory. The role requires a customer‑centric sales methodology and strong business judgment. Responsibilities Contact clients to develop and maintain healthy working relationships. Collaborate with Program Directors, Enterprise Project Managers and Project Managers to develop territory, account, and opportunity plans. Maintain customer data in Salesforce (forecast, plans, activities, opportunities, pipelines). Coordinate RFP/RFQ/RFI responses. Travel approximately 30% for customer visits and industry events. Define and refine value proposition and service offerings for existing and target clients. Drive higher return on sales and marketing efforts to generate larger volume of target clients. Move opportunities through the sales process to achieve closed sales above budget, including closing. Take responsibility and accountability for designated clients, territories, verticals, horizontals, service offerings and projects. Collaborate with global team to align expectations and deliverables. Required Experience 3 years enterprise‑level B2B sales experience in professional services and technology solutions to Fortune 500 and mid‑market customers. Enterprise‑level sales experience in the localization industry, within the Life Sciences sector/market. Minimum two consecutive years of total closed sales in new business of $2 million per year. Proven track record working in a customer‑centric sales methodology. A history of lead generation, key account targeting, qualifying, and closing new business. Ability to create and execute a successful business development strategy. Competence in structuring, negotiating, and closing multi‑million dollar accounts with leading companies across technology, manufacturing, consumer, travel/hospitality, and finance industries. Strong analytical and quantitative skills; preference for data‑based decision making. Excellent communication and persuasion skills. Tenacity and sense of urgency to make things happen quickly with large, less nimble customers. Other Key Competences Persuasive communication. Negotiation skills and situational awareness. Credibility‑based relationship building. Understanding of SMART objectives and results orientation. Commercial thinking and interaction with commercial people. Strong company and industry awareness.
