Field Service Engineer (CNC Install and Repair)

The Job A Field Service Engineer contributes to the success of Hartwig by keeping our customers' CNC machine tools running at peak operating levels by performing preventive maintenance. This is a great entry level opportunity for someone with mechanical maintenance experience who wants to learn about CNC machines. Main responsibilities of this full-time role based in the Kansas City, MO area include: Conduct efficient and timely preventive maintenance to include changing fluids, filters and checking accuracy of calibrations Recommend maintenance modifications and improvements to machines, equipment and processes Train and instruct customers on preventive maintenance best practices Responsible for helping with any service tool tracking on tools utilized Schedule preventive maintenance customer visits Increase field sales by promoting the PM program and other opportunities Conduct inventory counts Ability to complete necessary tasks in our service software and timecard system on a daily basis Traveling to customer sites, usually within 2 hours from home, with occasional overnight travel The Organization and Our Benefits Our team of over 200 professionals throughout the U.S. is dedicated to helping manufacturers control and power the growth of their business.
