About the position Position / Specialty: Polysomnographic Sleep Tech- Sleep Center Main Hospital MUSC Charleston Ratio: 1:2 Types of Cases REQ: Both adult and pediatric sleep studies from ages 0-99 Prefer candidates with pediatric experience for ages between 0-18 On most shifts traveler will have 1 adult patient and 1 pediatric patient. Shift: Will work 3x12hr nights either Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wed, Thurs, Friday 6:30pm to 7am with holidays as needed No call Only weekend requirement is Sunday if traveler is contracted to work the Sun-Tuesday shift Will this traveler float between service lines? No Floating Req to Sister Facilities: No Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 1 year First-timers accepted: Yes National Certs REQ: BLS and RPSGT No SC license required Experience REQ: Hospital and Independent Lab experience Experience Preferred: Epic experience, Pediatric experience, and Ability to score Radiation Badge REQ: No Misc. Radius rule? Yes, 60 miles. Are locals accepted? Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on manager/units needs. Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Teaching Hospital Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma: Magnet, Teaching and Level 1 Trauma Total Staffed Beds: 865 Scrub Color: Caribbean blue scrubs Charting: Epic Parking Cost: Nights and weekends cost only. Onetime payment of $20 for a parking pass.
