Renewals Management: Lead annual insurance renewals, negotiate terms, and ensure uninterrupted coverage. Year-End Financial Processes: Oversee closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Financial Reporting: Deliver clear, actionable insights through accurate financial statements. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain adherence to all applicable laws and standards. Operational Oversight: Manage insurance portfolios and ensure timely payments for 3rd-party trucking. Team Development: Mentor and lead a high-performing finance team. Ideal Candidate Profile Industry Experience: Background in food distribution or related sectors preferred. Accounting Foundation: Strong technical knowledge with experience in journal entries, reconciliations, and GAAP compliance. Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to transition from transactional tasks to high-level financial strategy. Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
