Key Responsibilities Strategic Financial Leadership: Drive financial planning and analysis to support growth and profitability. Renewals Management: Lead annual insurance renewals, negotiate terms, and ensure uninterrupted coverage. Year-End Financial Processes: Oversee closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Financial Reporting: Deliver clear, actionable insights through accurate financial statements. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain adherence to all applicable laws and standards. Operational Oversight: Manage insurance portfolios and ensure timely payments for 3rd-party trucking. Team Development: Mentor and lead a high-performing finance team. Executive Communication: Present financial results and strategic recommendations to leadership and stakeholders. Ideal Candidate Profile Industry Experience: Background in food distribution or related sectors preferred. Accounting Foundation: Strong technical knowledge with experience in journal entries, reconciliations, and GAAP compliance. Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to transition from transactional tasks to high-level financial strategy. Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or advanced degree preferred. Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire teams and influence cross-functional decisions. Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication skills for internal and external stakeholders. High attention to detail and commitment to integrity. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
