Key Job Details – ER RN Travel Assignment Location: Pikeville, Kentucky (41501) – Kentucky healthcare jobs Facility Setting: Emergency Room (ER) Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – Travel RN jobs Start Date: December 15, 2025 End Date: March 14, 2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts) Hours per Week: 48 hours (4x12 hour shifts) Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week Estimated Weekly Salary: $1650 - $1770 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Kentucky RN jobs Associate’s degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience (5 years preferred) Prior travel nursing experience required Certifications: CPR, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, EKG, TNCC, PALS ER RN Responsibilities Assess and re-assess patients of all ages, utilizing the nursing process for emergent and non-emergent care Deliver airway management, pain management, cardiac and invasive monitoring, and specialized IV drips/titration Assist with emergency procedures: temporary pacemakers, cardioversion, defibrillation, chest tubes, fracture care, and wound repair Operate specialized equipment for emergency patient care Respond to Code Blue situations and troubleshoot equipment and care processes Administer IV therapy, infusion therapy, and medications Interpret and analyze ECG strips Educate patients and families regarding discharge and follow-up care Document patient histories, conditions, treatments, and responses accurately Supervise and mentor healthcare staff, including orienting new employees Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain ongoing professional development Comply with infection control, safety, and personnel guidelines Apply now to join our healthcare team in Pikeville, Kentucky, and take the next step in your ER nursing career!
