Job Description

Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 DOE Location: Hertfordshire, UK Job Type: Permanent I'm seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering team, working on complex and innovative projects across the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. Key Responsibilities: Deliver electrical design solutions across RIBA Stages 2–4, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with relevant standards. Support pre-contract engineering activities, including post-tender reviews and tender recommendation reports. Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes. Review contractor submittals, respond to technical queries, attend site meetings, and perform site and factory inspections. Identify non-compliances, witness testing and commissioning, and review O&M documentation before handover. Produce calculations, drawings, and technical documentation using relevant software and tools. Experience and Qualifications Required: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering. Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a relevant professional institution (IET or CIBSE), or working towards it. Minimum 5 years’ experience in the UK Building Services industry, ideally within a design consultancy environment. Proven experience delivering electrical design for building services and process-related environments.
