PCU RN Job Details Location: Baltimore, Maryland 21215 Healthcare Setting: 48-bed Cardiac Telemetry Progressive Care Unit Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Start Date: November 24, 2025 End Date: March 2, 2026 Contract Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,730 - $1,850 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Maryland or Compact RN license required Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Telemetry nursing experience (2 years preferred) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Clinical skills in post-cardiac cath procedures and management of cardiac drips (amiodarone, cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine, nitro, lasix, insulin) Proficient in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response/code teams Comfortable with nurse-to-patient ratios of 4:1 to 5:1 Preferred: Experience with Cerner charting system, trauma level I/II, and previous charge nurse responsibilities PCU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients with cardiac and complex medical needs Monitor and manage cardiac drips and post-cardiac procedure patients Perform timely patient discharges, hourly rounding, and bedside shift reports Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PCAs, LPNs, and allied health professionals Float to other nursing units as needed within scope of practice Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital protocols Participate in team nursing and support rapid patient turnover Apply now to join our Baltimore healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
