1st Shift CNC Machinist

Job Description Job Description Our customer in La Porte, IN is seeking an Experienced Machinist to join their team. This role involves managing CNC and manual machining processes from setup to completion, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining an organized, efficient machine shop. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC and manual machines to produce parts to specification Check part quality with precision tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) Maintain machines on a regular schedule Run jobs from start to finish, meeting deadlines Requirements: Minimum 5 years of machining experience Strong math and measurement skills (Algebra/Geometry, precision down to 0.0001") Ability to read blueprints and program CNC equipment (G-Code, Mazatrol, Conversational) Hands-on experience with CNC mills; manual mill/lathe experience a plus Preferred (not required): Forklift and jib crane operation Knowledge of DMG MORI 32 CNC Mill, Mazak 3-axis CNC Mill, and CNC lathes with CY axis
