Job Description Job Description Salary: $25 per hour Summary: The Shop Foreman is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Nebraska Golf & Turfs Service Department. This position provides hands-on leadership and technical guidance to service technicians, ensures repair and maintenance tasks are completed accurately and efficiently, and upholds safety and quality standards. The Foreman is accountable for workflow coordination, technician performance, and communication between departments to ensure exceptional service delivery to internal and external customers. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and direct the daily activities of service technicians, assigning jobs based on skill level and availability. Perform diagnostic and repair work on golf carts, utility vehicles, and other small engine equipment. Monitor job progress, troubleshoot repair issues, and ensure timely and high-quality work. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment in accordance with OSHA standards and company policy. Serve as the primary liaison between the service department, parts department, and sales team. Provide technical support, mentoring, and training to technicians to promote skill development. Track technician productivity, job completion metrics, and assist in performance evaluations. Manage shop inventory levels, tools, and equipment maintenance schedules. Recommend process improvements for service efficiency, customer satisfaction, and shop workflow. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training preferred. 5 years of relevant mechanical experience in small engines, automotive, or heavy equipment repair. 2 years of supervisory or lead technician experience in a service environment. Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems on various equipment types. Proficient in reading technical manuals, schematics, and using diagnostic tools. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Must supply and maintain a personal set of professional-grade tools. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and occasionally up to 75 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in awkward positions for extended periods.
