Job Description Job Description Responsibilities & Duties: Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and PLC controlled equipment. Ability to use a multi-meter to test and troubleshoot 24 VDC, 120 VAC, and 480VAC 3 phase power circuits. Conducts periodic safety and maintenance inspections to evaluate equipment for replacement and identify wear and damage. Uses technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair equipment, engines, and compressors. Will possess an exceptional knowledge of tools and equipment repair. Should know and understand the flow of the plant and identify priorities accordingly. Troubleshooting breakdowns, as well as performing tasks through our work order system. Maintaining and up-grading current electrical prints in addition to keeping current secure copies of all PLC programs, both in the electrical shop and main office. Maintain the inventory and supply of electrical parts in stock. Create designing of electrical control systems as needed. Must be able to communicate with supervisors regarding repair times and arranging scheduled repairs in that department. Must have the ability to communicate with all department supervisors and personnel to find, diagnose and repair problems timely and efficiently. Required experience must include: Must possess 3-5 years of electrical experience in computers and PLC's Install, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical components of industrial machinery and equipment. Excellent communication skills Ability to learn full plant operations in a reasonable length of time and follow detailed instructions. Experience in multi-craft mechanical and electrical. Ability to troubleshoot various types of automated manufacturing equipment. Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and parts specifications. Experience and/or training in hydraulic and pneumatic systems & controls. Understand and troubleshoot 3 phase motor controls. Work at heights safely Excellent reliability through attendance and punctuality. Must be available to work overtime, weekends & call backs. Required to perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
