About Intlvac Intlvac is an established leader in precision vacuum coating and ion beam technology, providing innovative thin film deposition and etching systems for research and production environments. Our clients span industries including optics, semiconductors, aerospace, and advanced materials. We are currently seeking a highly organized Inside Sales & Technical Support Technician to join our growing team. We are an equipment manufacturing company and the support is for customers who utilize our equipment. This is not an IT position. Key Responsibilities · Customer & Sales Support o Act as a primary point of contact for customers regarding parts, pricing, and technical inquiries. o Prepare quotations for high-vacuum system components, spare parts, and services. o Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products, upgrades, or service packages. o Maintain accurate records of quotes, orders, and shipments in coordination with operations and accounting teams. · Technical Support & Application Assistance o Provide technical support to customers on high-vacuum systems (ion milling, PVD, and related processes). o Generate or update service documentation and technical data sheets. o Assist customers with basic operation, maintenance, or spare parts selection for vacuum systems. · Procurement & Order Coordination o Source, order, and track machined or fabricated parts required for customer orders and service work. o Coordinate with suppliers to ensure parts meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. o Oversee packing, documentation, and shipment of parts, assemblies, and systems. · Product & Inventory Management o Maintain and update inventory lists, part numbers, and pricing for high-vacuum system components. o Recommend inventory adjustments based on customer demand and service activity. o Support the development of standardized parts lists and service kits for key product lines. · Collaboration & Continuous Improvement o Work closely with engineering and service teams to ensure accurate technical information is provided to customers. o Communicate customer feedback to improve product design, documentation, and support processes. Qualifications o 3-year diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Physics, or related technical field. o Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical, engineering, or customer support role involving high-vacuum process systems (PVD, ion milling, thin-film deposition, or similar), with an interest or background in technical or inside sales considered an asset. o Solid understanding of vacuum components, hardware, and mechanical assemblies. o Proficiency in CAD or the ability to interpret technical drawings is an asset. o Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. o Experience managing quotations, orders, and vendor coordination. o Ability to work independently in a small, cross-functional technical team.
