Junior Cost Accountant

Minimum Qualifications: Tertiary qualification - Accounting (B.Com/Diploma) At least 3 years' experience in a similar role MS Office SAGE or similar experience would be beneficial Key attributes: Process driven Computer Literate Self-motivated Excellent communication skills Pro-active thinking Daily tasks: Prepare and present highlighting cost variances and recommending necessary actions Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits and reconcile discrepancies Identify areas of potential cost improvement and work closely with the operations team to implement efficiency measures Stay updated with industry trend regulations, and best practices in cost accounting Balancing of tonnages, dispatches vs. Invoiced at month-end Assist with planning, compiling and finalising of stock counts Ensuring stock costings are done correctly and in line with daily manufacturing
