Electrical Design Engineer

Were seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering innovative electrical systems and solutions that meet our clients technical and regulatory requirements. Youll collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure designs are safe, efficient, and cost-effective from concept through to completion. Key Responsibilities Develop electrical designs, schematics, and layouts using CAD/CAE software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar). Produce detailed documentation including wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and bill of materials. Perform load calculations, cable sizing, and protection coordination studies. Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and regulations (e.g. BS7671, IEC, or IEEE). Support prototype development, testing, and commissioning activities. Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery. Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Bachelors degree (or higher) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent). Proven experience in electrical design for [e.g. building services, industrial automation, renewable energy, etc.]. Proficiency with electrical design and CAD software. Strong understanding of electrical standards, safety codes, and best practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
