Substance Abuse Counselor 149 Fee for Service located in Edison, East Brunswick, or New Brunswick NJ Salary: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour plus Sign On Bonus - $2,500 Responsibilities: Credentialed Substance Use Counselor for Level 1 outpatient substance abuse program in East Brunswick. May conduct full substance use assessments, make recommendations for level of care, facilitate group and individual counseling sessions, complete treatment planning, discharge planning, as well as case management with state agencies for mandated clients. Requirements BA/BS/BSW with CADC; Master’s level with LCADC or in pursuit of LCADC is preferable Familiar with NJSAMS state computer system and have experience completing substance use assessments with urine screens Candidate should have clinical experience in group and individual modalities Excellent writing skills needed for clear documentation Ability to collaborate with outside funding sources and affiliated agencies is important, i.e. IDRC, Probation Professionally Licensed (CADC or LCADC) Qualified Non-profit Agency for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF), where applicable Offers FREE in-house CEU credits provided by Rutgers School of Social Work and Wellspring during work hours Some positions also offer Clinical Supervision requirements for advanced professional licenses Lunch & Learns for Development and Training Agency Perks and Discounts Employee Assistance Program Verizon Affinity Federal Credit Union membership Blue Cross Blue Shield – 365 Program Flex Spending Accounts Employee Referral Bonus Program Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen is an Equal Opportunity Employer
