Shipping/Receiving Lead

Accentuate Staffing is assisting a well-established distributor in Raleigh who is seeking a hands-on Shipping/Receiving Lead to join their 2nd shift team working 10am-7pm Monday-Friday. This is a contract-hire opportunity leading up to 4 warehouse personnel. Responsibilities: Lead, train, and support a team of 4 associates on the 2nd shift. Oversee all shipping and receiving operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with safety standards. Operate warehouse equipment, including cherry picker, reach, and sit-down forklifts. Handle and prepare HAZMAT shipments (welding gas, propane, compression gas). Utilize shipping software such as P21, Freight Edge, and Quick Ship to manage orders and shipments. Coordinate with carriers, internal departments, and team members to resolve issues and maintain workflow efficiency. Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored. Promote and uphold a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Requirements: Previous shipping, receiving, and leadership experience required Proficiency with FedEx shipping systems and common freight/shipping software. Forklift experience (cherry picker, reach, sit-down) required; certification preferred. Experience handling or shipping HAZMAT materials is a plus. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work overtime as needed.
