Pharmacy Technician I Location: Boston, MA (350 Longwood Ave, Suite B, Boston, MA 02215) Pay Rate: $17.38/hour Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | Rotating Shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM) Closed on Weekends and National Holidays Position Summary A Specialty Pharmacy in Boston, Massachusetts is seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Technician I to join its professional team. This role supports the pharmacy’s operations by assisting pharmacists and other team members with prescription processing, patient communication, and medication coordination for individuals with complex health conditions such as Oncology, Multiple Sclerosis, Hepatitis, HIV, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Transplant, and Gastrointestinal diseases. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated pharmacy professional to contribute to a patient-centered team focused on delivering high-quality specialty care and customer service. Key Responsibilities Process and fill patient prescriptions accurately and efficiently. Handle refill calls, patient inquiries, and coordinate medication deliveries. Manage prior authorizations, copay assistance programs, and benefits verification. Perform inventory management, restock shelves, and ensure medication storage compliance. Answer phones, assist patients and providers, and provide friendly, professional service. Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance and quality standards. Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare team members to ensure timely and safe medication delivery. Required Qualifications Valid Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Massachusetts. At least 1 year of prior pharmacy technician experience. Verifiable High School Diploma or GED. Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT). Previous experience in a specialty pharmacy or hospital/clinical setting. Work Schedule Full-time role, Monday through Friday. Rotating shifts between 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM. No weekends or major holidays.
