The Opportunity The company is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to join its London team, with a focus on expanding relationships and driving new business growth within UK building societies and Tier 2 banks . This is a high-impact individual contributor (IC) role suited to a commercially astute, well-networked professional who can open doors, navigate complex client organisations, and build strategic partnerships. Please note: This role is based five days per week in the London office or on client site , reflecting the relationship-driven and consultative nature of the position. Key Responsibilities Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities across UK building societies and Tier 2 banks. Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to position the company’s digital and cloud-native financial solutions effectively. Build long-term, trust-based relationships with senior decision-makers, including C-level executives. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, delivery, and marketing teams to ensure successful client outcomes. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance market presence. Maintain an in-depth understanding of the financial services landscape, including regulatory and digital transformation trends. Experience & Qualifications 15 years of experience across financial services, fintech, or consulting. Strong network and proven track record of business development within building societies and Tier 2 banking clients in the UK. Previous experience in strategy or business consulting with a leading firm (Big 3 or Big 4) is highly advantageous. Deep understanding of the technology and operational challenges facing financial institutions today. Experience engaging with executive stakeholders and managing complex sales cycles. Background or familiarity with AI-driven platforms is a strong plus but not essential. Self-starter with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
