Role Overview: The Utilities Management Administrator will take ownership of monthly billing processes, client reporting and maintain a high standard of professionalism in all aspects of the role. Duties and Respnsibilities Run monthly billing operations across our diverse portfolio of properties Ensure a high standard of communication and accuracy in reports and interactions with clients Provide support in the management of queries and council reconciliations Monitor real-time usage data from energy to water via IoT platforms to detect trends, cost inefficiencies and anomalies for proactive intervention Leverage dashboards and visualisation tools to provide clients with transparent, live visibility into their utility consumption, enabling informed decision-making Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, municipal billing processes and environmental standards Assit your team with energy audits, EPCs and energy balance studies Drive continuous improvement by staying updated on emerging technologies, industry best practices and operational efficiency Maintain data sources and ensure data integrity and quality Qualifications and Experience Qualifications Diploma, Degree or relevant certification in the utilities management industry Tertiary education may be replaced by relevant and strong experience in industry Additional certifications in sustainability, energy management or IoT/digital systems will be advantageous Strong written and verbal communication essential Experience Minimum 57 years in utilities management, operations, or facilities management Strong track record managing municipal accounts Experience with IoT platforms, utilities monitoring systems or smart metering technologies highly advantageous Prior exposure to solar energy, O&M services or sustainability projects is a plus Skills and Competencies Excellent analytical abilities, comfortable working in data-driven, IoT-enabled environments Proficiency with reporting dashboards, monitoring tools and Excel for performance analysis Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, municipal processes and compliance standards in South Africa Excellent client-facing communication and relationship-building abilities, with the ability to simplify technical issues for non-technical stakeholders
