Senior AI Engineer

Overview Senior Generative AI Specialist – CRIF, a multinational group specializing in informational solutions, decision models, outsourcing, software, and consulting services for banks, financial companies, insurance companies, utilities, and telecommunications companies, is seeking a Senior Generative AI Specialist . The successful candidate will join our “Advanced Analytics Global” area, the centre of excellence at CRIF that combines expertise in Data Science, Data Engineering, and Generative AI. Profile PhD or Master’s Degree in statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, quantitative economics, econometrics or a similar quantitative field. 3 years of experience in Data Science / AI fields Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork capabilities Knowledge of major trends and technologies in AI/GenAI Hard Skills Excellent knowledge of Python and ML/DL libraries Deep understanding of the fundamentals of statistics and machine learning (sampling theory, inference and interpretation, model validation, regression and classification techniques, etc.) Deep understanding of LLM post-training stages (e.g. SFT, RL, distillation) and evaluation methods Deep understanding of embedding models (e.g. bi-encoder/cross-encoder) and their finetuning Experience with agent protocols (e.g. MCP, A2A, ACP) and agentic design patterns Experience with synthetic data generation approaches for the evaluation of AI Systems Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Qdrant, …) and integration with AI systems, for example RAG Experience working with one of the major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) Knowledge of MLOps and microservices architectures Nice to have Knowledge of AI security and safety risks, and effective mitigation strategies Experience with one of the major agent frameworks (e.g., AutoGen, CrewAI, smolagents, ) Contributions in Open Source projects related to AI Research and publications in the AI field Location Milan or Bologna Equal Opportunity CRIF is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive work environment and promoting equal opportunities during the employee life cycle.
