Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/01/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Travel RN – Med Surg Float Pool (Boise, Meridian, Nampa, ID) Shift: 7p–7a (Nights), weekends as needed, float to other facilities within region as needed Contract Type: Travel Facility Type: Multi-site (Boise, Meridian, and Nampa) Trauma Level: — Charting System: EpicCare Inpatient (Epic Systems Corporation – EMR) Requirements Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience Minimum 1 year of previous travel experience Certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC) – Required ACLS (AHA or ARC) – Required Skills: Strong clinical skills within Med Surg scope Ability to work independently across multiple facilities Preferred: Antepartum and Mother-Baby experience (for L&D travelers) Float Pool Details Specialty: Med Surg Float Pool Float Scope: Float only within specialty (no out-of-scope floats) May float to Boise, Meridian, or Nampa facilities May serve as 1:1 sitter in any area as needed Units Covered: 7 Med Surg units total (1 Nampa, 2 Meridian, 4 Boise) Ratios: 1:5 Drips: Insulin (titrated as needed) Charge Support: Charge nurse present on all units (non-assigned) Leadership Support: 7 assistant managers (one on call 24/7) Float pool educator and admin support team with shared contact email Support Staff Nurse Aides/PCTs: Yes, ratio approx. 1:8–10 (varies by floor/day) Tele Monitoring: No tele techs; RNs not required to read strips RT Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow, etc. (specifics vary by unit; RNs troubleshoot only) Scheduling & Logistics Shifts: 0700–1900 or 1900–0700 Self-Scheduling: Not available Block Scheduling: Attempted, not guaranteed Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holidays: As needed Call/Standby: None Unit Assignment: Assigned via app ~1 hour before shift start May mid-shift float between facilities or units Facilities approx. 20 minutes apart, easy access and safe parking Orientation & Culture Orientation: Day 1: Meet & Greet 3 inpatient orientation shifts Dress Code: Clean, professional scrubs (any color) Culture: Supportive leadership, great teamwork, easy parking/access Housing Tip: Meridian Medical Center area is central to all float locations About Talent4Health A leader and innovator, offering comprehensive talent solutions for the healthcare industry across the nation.
