Production Manager

ACJ Search are partnering with a defence manufacturer based in Wolverhampton who are actively recruiting for a Production Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the site Head of Manufacturing, this role will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the production areas. The key objectives of the role are as follows: Ensure project needs are met for allocation of resource and progress of activity Drive a continuous improvement culture throughout the organization Support the Head of Manufacturing in the day to day running of the production areas Put quality at the heart of the production processes and ensure that all systems are strictly adhered to Coach, mentor and lead the production team Take accountability for the delivery of the weekly production plan We are keen to speak with people who can demonstrate a strong production management background aligned with the following skills and experience: A strong knowledge of metal fabrication and welding Proven track record in people management Understanding of lean principles and a track record of implementation This is an on-site role based in Wolverhampton.
